1. Party cannot enter Cursed Tower (ToF, ToE, ToW) while any member is browsing Private Shop of another player. Ask them to stop if you cannot access Tower.
You can enter the Tower from anywhere in the game world. Party members do not need to be in the same place or even on the same map. Everyone in party must be up to 10 levels higher or lower than party leader (maximum of 21 levels difference) but anyone in party can use the key. You cannot port to (another) Tower mission when you are in the Cursed Tower already.

2. Talking. Press ENTER to type. The first character allows you to select the channel:

! - Say - white text, people around you will hear it; e.g.: !75 Ether looking for party.
@ - Area message - blue text, people on the whole map will hear it; e.g.:
@Need more for 67 boss mission!
Also: /d and /shout commands work, for example:
/d Need more 70-90 for ToF!
/shout Guild OMG looking for more members 80+!
# - Party - green, heard by party members; e.g: #Is everyone ready for boss?!
$ - Guild - violet, heard only by guild members; e.g: $When is the Lucky killing raid?
& - Channel - orange; make/join chanel: /join <name>, leave: /quit; e.g.:
/join Slime
&There is a fresh Slime at 100 percent in Incomplete Memorial! Everyone start moving there!
You can also use /c to talk in Channel. For example:
/c Our group gets the Slime credit now.
@@ - Global message - yellow, heard on the whole server (both channels), uses Proclamation of Liberation Army item
Double Quotation Mark - whispering to the last person we whispered with, you can also use /r

/invite <player> - party invitation e.g. /invite Mosalla
/whisper <player> - whisper, private message e.g. /whisper Mosalla Hello!
/sit /stand - sitting allows you to regen HP and also MP/SP is renews faster (also available after pressing K, and selecting Action tab)

While in chat-mode you can click player's name (a text, not a player) with right mouse button for a menu. Left button starts a whisper.
You can also select a player with your mouse and right click his name in the frame at the top of the screen.
You can use CTRL-C, CTRL-V, CTRL-X, SHIFT and some other edit keys and shortcuts.

3. Some crafted items have a chance to succeed when they are being crafted. Do not assume everything has 100 percent chance to be made.

4. Weapons and armors based only on attributes (STR/AGI/VIT/INT/SPI) have better attack or defense values than ATTRIBUTE/SKILL variant (e.g.: SPI/INT armor is better than INT/Ether or INT/Circle). The difference is small at first but reaches one tier of armor at higher levels. So do not judge someone (especially a tank) by the look as he could be using lower Tier armor which is more effective than yours. Especially if Enchanted.

5. STR is not-so-good as it seems for Berserkers and INT for Elementalists. Try to keep these attributes as low as you can.

6. Character strength balance changes a lot after level 70-75. Make sure to ask or read how your character build performs at higher levels. This is caused by having your skills maximized by that time and the shift from skills damage to the damage from attributes and weapons. And shift from pure armor defense to the avoiding damage, HP pool, recovery ratio in case of tanks.
Attributes and proper build start to play significant role above level 80.

7. Elementalists spells *elements* are coded strangely. Below is the list of spells so you would know which Mastery or socket items to use to increase their damage. They do not follow visible pattern and some may surprise you:
Fire: Fire Arrow, Fireball, Fire Spear, Fire Pillar, Star Fall, Earthquake, Wind Bolt, Sacred Fire, Dervish Dance
Water: Ice Dagger, Ice Blast, Ice Bolt, Pressing Wall
Wind: Lightning, Lightning Wave, Electric Field, Inquiry
Earth: Poison Thorn, Rock Storm, Power Wave
No Attribute: The rest. For example Thorny Vine, Teleport, Healing Spells

8. As a Berserker Defender think about VIT/STR build instead of STR/Defender. This will be hard at start but you're not making Defender for level 1-100 but for levels 115-130 when you would start to shine.

9. Some items found even at level 10-20 are very valuable. Try to familiarize yourself with items and store everything you can except some obvious junk like Copper for example. Some things will be changed in future patches and some items will be even more important. Especially look at those you find rarely.

10. Making 6 characters would allow you to store a lot of items in their inventory. Reaching the first town and at the same being able to pass items via Storage can be done in 10 minutes using one Cheetah Elixir. Use Elementalists as your storage characters. We'll call them *mules*.

11. All classes at level 25 get a quest for elite weapons and accessory item. Elementalists as the only class can use three of these accessory items and get two of them from the quest: Fire and Water Lesser Soul Eye. You can see them floating around them. But Water version if quite useless except for the stats increase, so most of the Elementalists want to use three Fire Soul Eyes. So you want to level your Elementalists mules to level 25 and sell all your Soul Eyes and epic weapons. Or use for yourself if you play an Elementalist!

12. I don't know why but Webzen keeps doing events which asks for exploiting. The event is called Click-Click and is not level-restricted. The event allows you to buy one special Cash Shop Box a day. You can find some interesting stuff inside sometimes. But the problem is you can make a level 1 character, buy a box and get what's inside. If it's a coin worth 1000000 Heim or another interesting item you would just spend 10 minutes leveling your character until it reaches Storage in Tringel and pass your item (crafted if needed) or money to your main character. If you get junk from click-box you just delete your character and make another. You can do it even faster if you have two computers (two accounts) or a friend you would trade the items with (without leveling).
You could ask - is it fair to take advantage of this situation? Or you could ask yourself - should I be behind others using advantage of the situation?
Solution for Webzen is quite simple - restrict this event for levels 20+ (you can reach this level in one day).

13. Coins. You can see some coins being sold by other players. They have different names but general rule is:
DO NOT BUY COINS. Never ever. They are just meant to be sold to the merchants and if a player tries to sell one to you it means that the price is higher.

14. Orange PvP Zone - you do not drop items here. Red PvP Zone - you have a chance to drop an item (armor or weapon) when killed in this area. So if you want to practice your PvP skills just go to Orange zone and have fun.

15. Path of Alchemist quests. There are two quests which would need you to go into PvP zones. One in orange area requires 3 Poluted Ore. The second one calls for some Supplies in the red PvP zone. Zones are not mentioned by the quest de******ion so remember that if you get these quests - look for items in the PvP zones.

16. When you're doing quests in PvP zones (mainly Path of Alchemist quests) remember that you can switch your channel. If you see that some high level character is killing people on Channel 1, switch to Channel 2 - it might be free of pests. You can also ask for help in the area chat (using @) - say a name and guild of the offender - there is a chance that someone will pass your call to the guild being in war with such person.

17. There are two or even three merchants in each city for every class. They usually have different tiers of armor and weapons. Make sure to check each if you are looking for specific Tier of items.

18. UP Points are used to upgrade guild level. You can use them (right click them) whenever you find them. The total number of UP points will be saved with your character. When you will find the guild you like you can strengthen your guild with them.

19. Missions' monsters health increases with the number of party members. Most of the missions can be done alone (especially at the beginning) but it's boring and not all character levels and classes builds can do it. So it's good to group together... but! For the most missions you need a good group composition. You need one tank - a person who will get hit (usually a dragon, berserker defender or just a high level player) and a person who will heal him - a healer. The rest of people will do damage or support party with buffs making the job easier. This is the basic concept but two tanks can't hurt, two healers either. You will not be able to smoothly do a mission without any healer or any tank though.

20. Most missions contain some totems. These very often need to be destroyed to progress further, so just destroy all to be sure. Use of different kinds of statues and levers might be good or bad and the order of using them is also important sometimes.

21. Cheetah Elixir and Resurrection Items you get at the beginning are valuable - try to keep them as long as you can. It would be good to keep at least 5 for 70+ missions.

22. There are some spells or skills which taunt, agro or generally get more attention of a monster you kill. This is especially true about Elementalist's Thorny Vines. If you see that monsters attack you instead of tank, try not to use these skills too soon during the fight. It's called building the threat or gathering agro by the tank - he needs some time to get monster's full attention. Watch out for casters and archers - attack them only if the tank attacks them too unless you are sure what you're doing.

23. Read your class forum. Check http://forums.ijii.com too if you need more information.

24. This forum has different languages subforums.

25. Press CTRL-ENTER to switch between window and full screen mode.

26. If you have a good PC hardware you should try to make the game looking even better! To turn on anti-aliasing edit file called 3dsetup.ini in your game directory and change a number in a line with MultiSampling=0 from 0 to 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16. The higher value, the better smoothing of edges, but bigger stress on your graphic card too. This must be done when the game is not running. Game patches seem to overwrite this file as well. So you must either do it after each patch or exchange the file with it's copy if you are more experienced user.

27. This is a game not a job or life. Do not spend too much money or time on it.

28. Revenge Points (Revenge List) are meant to be used to freely kill a player anywhere without any consequences. I have never tried this, so you would better try it with some level 10 character first if and how it works. Lucky mob can drop an item which is supposed to increase Revenge Points number.

29. Lucky. Slime, Mouse, Spider and other monsters described as Lucky are special mobs needed to get 90 percent AC reward (which is used to craft elite armor). In the current version any player hitting Lucky starts the timer. Lucky disappears after a few minutes (6:30-12:00 min for normal Lucky and 3:30-12:00 for Kings). Additionally you only do 1-3 points of damage no matter what weapon or skills you use. Strategy of killing Lucky is to use normal attacks and fastest hitting weapon, which are bare fists for most of classes and as many speed and crit buffs as you can get. The easiest Lucky (Slime) requires 2 groups of people. In the future patches there should be a small change - counter would start ticking from 98 percent of Lucky's life. This would prevent accidental hits and new players disrupting Lucky hunts.

30. You would get very nice ring and necklace for completing 60 percent of AC on each map. It's not hard to achieve this and except for the Forest it's worth it especially for damage dealers. If you level fast choose the highest two maps to focus your AC on but in practice it's good to work on each AC whenever there's a chance. Crafted jewelery is worth nothing when compared to these items.
Example: sewer+ice AC rings would give you +50 PERCENT skill damage, +12 to All stats and the ice map necklace would give you additional +7 stats and +600 Max HP.

31. Elementalists can check my character builder spreadsheet:
http://forum.webzen.com/topic79256-mosad-elementalist-character-builder.aspx
for a complete solution with a possibility to save many builds on disk, modify them later. For armor requirement check, additional attributes and AC Bonus Points calculated. While mmosite still lacks many options and has bugs - above spreadsheet is probably the most complete builder you can find (Elementalist only).

32. Some quests tell you to go to a place marked on map with arrows. But despite some people there and waiting for the monster you need to kill - it is not there. This is a case of sewers quest-mobs for example. In such cases the quest de******ion will usually tell you that the monster can appear in many spots. The arrows visible on map shows only one location. Solution is either to look around that place (rooms nearby) or ask around some more experienced players. You can also switch to the second channel to see if the monster is not there. Some monsters can appear in places quite far from the marked spot. If you see a high level player - or someone who seems to know what he is doing - waiting for something, that might be a good spot to watch too.

33. If you're a young DragonKnight and you're going to use Barehand Dragon Transform read on! You will need to do special quest for that (you can find a lot about here: http://forums.ijji.com/showthread.php?t=664077). But one thing is important and will save you a bit of time.
DO NOT RIGHT CLICK FOREST RELICS!
You will need 20 of them for the quest in your inventory, not used already for AC. Collect Bones With A Soul items too. If you need to farm Forest Relics, the best way is to do Cerber mission - you would need to do it anyway for AC, so why not now. Bones can be bought from players or farmed from aggressive monsters (usually staying in camps with Captains) in Lake area.

34. Keys and bags space. Together with map fragments they are used for unlocking AC chest. Small hint - it is quite hard to complete whole map but it's not that hard to get all keys. If you need more inventory room and you know that you would come back to AC farming later on, just DELETE all keys. You will farm them when needed. When you already have all or most map pieces. Where to hunt? In Cursed Tower or doing missions. You would like to do a lot of runs in Tower of Fire, a few in ToW and ToE. You should find your keys there when you have a good level. Map pieces must be right-clicked of course and if it does nothing - destroyed. In the future patches there is a possibility that keys will be right-clickable as well.

35. You can destroy any item using small trash-bin icon at bottom of your inventory. Be careful while doing it this way. If you destroy quest item you needed abandon the quest and get it again.

36. Your equipment (armor and weapons) can be destroyed! When you inspect these items you will see durability value. It goes down (for the things you wear) when you die. If it reaches zero (for example 0/40) there is a possibility for you to loose the item FOREVER on the next death. When you die and there are some items with no durability, one of them will get destroyed. Each death. If you die a lot you can loose all your armor. In such case and no possibility to repair the item, make sure to put it in inventory (you can do it only when you're alive). Repair your equipment as often as you can - it is very cheap. Small doll below minimap shows the status of your armor. White is good, red is very bad. In case of dying a lot make sure to ask people not to rezz you without your approval beforehand.

37. If party would get more experience when leader is lower level then every group would run with level 1 player as a leader. Using other words - it does not matter who leads. Experience you get is calculated from difference between your and monster level. Additional exp items, events and number of people on the mission can modify this value. If you do more damage it is said it can also modify this value by a tiny bit but nothing to really worry about.

38. You die when your *green* life bar reaches zero. Not green+red, only green matters.
Red Recovery pots - increase green life bar by a little at once and speed up it's regeneration rate for some time
Rejuvenation pots - instantly increase green life bar by a big amount (can be crafted)
Each kind of potion has a separate cooldown timer.
The practical advice is: watch the length of your green bar only! Ignore the red one as if it wouldn't exist. Use rejuvenation pots when you are dieing during battle and keep recovery pots running. Use recovery pots between battles to keep your life full. Of course I am talking about situation when there is no healer in party or you are hunting alone.

39. Tracking of quests. It is done automatically most of the time but sometimes your quest mobs would not get marked on map. You need to make sure the quest is being tracked. When you press L to open quest list you would notice small square box to the left of quest title. It can be either empty or have some color tile there. You can press this area to turn tracking on or off. The color of tracking tile corresponds to the color of marks on your map. Using tracking will also show or hide quest objectives displayed below minimap. So if they annoy you (at higher levels) just disable tracking of these quests.

40. Healing amount is FIXED. Your weapon bonus, magic attack value do not matter. You can use level 1 orb as a healer as well. You heal for the exact amount of points as your spell de******ion says. So if you are mainly a healer you can make yourself very nice weapon! You can buy the cheapest orbs in Esod on a new character, just leave mission just before last quest porting you to Tringel - sell potions to get money and rank up your Orb until you get as much SPI as possible. You can use such Orb as your group healing weapon and use damage staff when you solo. You can buy a bit more expensive Orb in Tringel of course.

41. Elementalist's teleport bug had been fixed already. Can describe the bug now. When you press any AoE skill which shows you targeting circle, you see that when you try to cast AoE too far away from you, the circle gets red and you cannot cast AoE at that point. So your AoE has some range. When you double press W (or A, S, D) now, you would be teleported to that point. Before bugfix it was possible to get teleported to red circle area, now you get ported only if you can cast AoE at that location.
The bug would not be that bad - just a substitute for using Cheetah Elixir, but there are some other world geometry issues which allowed players to teleport to some regions unaccessible by normal means.
This is unofficial teleport usage and it should be removed altogether but it works as a fast fix. It may surprise you that you get ported to some strange place though, so just be aware of this.

42. Escaping combat - the fastest way is to jump back by pressing S and SPACE together. Elementalists with teleport skill can double hit any movement key (A, W, S, D or arrows) to be teleported in that direction. Teleport Rank 1 is enough for the most tasks (rank 1 -> 20 meters jump, rank 10 -> 38 meters).

43. Some buffs stack, some don't. What does it mean? Example follows. Increase Speed buff from Circle Elementalist gives you a buff called Dash (and Vigor which does not matter here). It increases your movement speed by some amount. But you can also increase movement speed by using Cheetah Elixir or Dash Potions. Would they all increase your speed? Unfortunately not. Dash Potion gives you Dash buff as well, so only one of them will be in effect. Weaker buff does not do anything when cast or potion used. You get no warning. Stronger buff stays. Cheetah Elixir gives you a buff called Dash (Cash), it's another buff so both kind of buffs *stack* together, their effects add up. This is also true for other buffs and potions - be sure not to waste them if not necessary.

44. Use Numeric KeyPad and numeric block ENTER key to enter numbers when splitting items for example. Numeric ENTER works differently and does not open chat window, like the big one does.

45. Use ALT-ESC to minimize your game and show the desktop.

46. MENU/Options/Game Options/Zoom Out - check this option to be able to see more battlefield. Turn this option off during Lucky hunts for less lag. Turn other graphic enhancement options like Fog, Background, Shadow when hunting Lucky.

47. Fastest weapons (for lucky hunts):
Elementalist - staff (even faster than valyrie)
DeathKnights - swords in human form
Zerkers - not sure, probably bare hands (weapon unequipped)
Valkyries - dual weapons
*The information about attack speed is invalid and cannot be compared between different weapons.

48. Agro or threat is very weird in this game so watch out! Monsters left alone for some time will prefer and hit (more important condition first):
a) lower armor player
b) lower level player
c) player who logged sooner on the server! (to be exact: player with lower server ID which in most cases would be one who logged first)

49. For every completed mission you get emblem or some other item. You can craft a ring or necklace from these items. Here is my tip - destroy missions rewards! If you are an active player, you would get 60 percent AC reward soon. If not, you can craft one item, but they are not that valuable to sell - though you can try. So just save some inventory space and trouble of selling these items. You spend some Heim to make them too!

There are some mistakes in this point.
- For Lucky hunt: all need to attack with bare hands because attackspeed is faster then with weapons. only Valk should use X-Bows.
- Elementalist: Orb is faster then Staff. Staff makes more DMG.
- Berserker: Sword is faster then Axe.

Agro isnt working ATM, thats why the Berserker Skill ''Taunt'' doesnt work.

You are wrong.
Test it and you will see. Numbers shown in character information screen are USELESS and meaningless. Even higher number can mean slower hitting. Just count number of hits in lets say 10-20 seconds and you will see. All written above by me is not a fantasy, it's a proven fact. Check http://www.lovely-sun.net/page.php?mode=labo05 for movies showing it with numbers if you have no wish to make tests yourself.
