We are going to hold a tournament for everyone who has submitted their work to Combo Movie Contest.
Tournament bracket has been already created for you, so please check.

• Tournament weapons/armors/accessories will now be limited to Level 47 [Magic Grade] only and tournament weapons will not be given on request anymore.
• We will be giving 1 million gold (for weapons/armors/accessories)/Soul Set: Prelude to the Storm (7 days)/Shadow Gear Set (7 days) to each tournament participants on 2014/08/01. (Any participants who do not show up on the match will get his/her provided gold/items removed)

It says this is Combo Master's tournament. however, how many classes do you think can combo without Cooldown Reduction, Attack Speed and Casting Speed? almost none. in addition, since we are wearing no equipment at all except for 47 weapon scout and NS's summons would be hard to kill. i pretty sure it is going to break the balance

I'm really hoping that the matches are on fridays and saturdays so that it's easear for everyone to participate...

Because players are using no equipment except for their weapon, they have really low MP, too.
For example I, an elementalist, have only 10k MP(was 1.7k with full equip) MP. Sin has around 9K MP(was 1.5k with full equip).

Considering each skills normally consume 0.5~1.5k MP, plaeyrs won't be able to make long combos due to mana issue.


Participants in this tournament submitted videos of thier own unique combos in order towin the event and particpate in this tournament.

However, how many combos out of all the combos submitted would work under low attack speed&CDR conditon?

I bet very few. Low attack speed and low CDR completely limit vareity of combos.





Even though this tournament is named a "Combo" Master's Tournament, this tournament actually provides uncomboable condition where player cant make variety of combos due to having no attack speed&Cool Down Reduction, and long combos due to mana issue. In addition, those non combo classes using summons like scout and nightstalker will have highground in this condition since thier traps' and pets' HPs are fixed unlike players' damages which rely on equipment.

Please consider these factors for making a real "Combo" master's tournament with better regulation

So... you aren't giving free magic level 47 weapons anymore... but you are giving 1M for buy them in TO? Are you sure that the TO have all those magic grade items selling? Please GM come on, at least GIVE everything for every player participating, because if I have to farm, i'm not in this tournament

Rulebooks syas that we are not allowed using enhnaced item.
However when I crafted 47 Magic armor set, most came out with + 1 or +2 enhancement....

considering that it is hard to craaft +0 items...i think low enhacenemnt without bonus stat should be allowed

since enhancement doesnt work in pvp

(upto +3 for armors , +8 for weapon, and +2 for accessories)

Trading Office isn't selling most of lv 47 magic equipment and some of the materials to craft them aren't for sale ,too.

Magic Grade gear will not be provided - find a weapon with stats you like, this way everyone can have attackspeed/critical or whatever else they need.

I appreciate that my suggestion is accepted. However, I still doubt if this is comboable condition.

It is really nice to hear that people can use "Prelude Soul set." However, using 47 magic set has serveral problems


1. As lordrygarx and Zobek already concerns above, it is hard to craft and buy.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying this because I'm lazy to farm and craft. I already finished to craft all my 47 magic set.

However, it took, for me, almost 6~7hours..... Considering we already have low participating rate, hard farming and crafting for the tournament would lead more players quit from this tournament
(as you can see, Lordrygyarx already mentioned that he is not going to play on the tournament becuz it is hard to get 47 magic set)


2.As PoiPoi mentioned above, Magic Weapons and accessories have no attack speed and cast speed on it.



Beside souls and legends, there are no source of attack speed and cast speed if we use magic set.

As an Elementalist, Casting speed is most crucial stat for me in PVP. However, casting speed can be obtained from Rare or higher grades of weapons, necks, earrings, and belts.

Also, some classes like slayer and taoist really need attack speed to pvp. Yet, they cant neither get any attack speed from 47 magic set.

Even though some classes are very reliant on cast spee and attack speed, we don't have enough sources of those stats in this condition.


Therefore, I suggest one of the followings as a solution

1. 47 Rare Weapons, armosr and ACCs set
Since tons of Jumping characters came out with 47 rare sets, it is easy to get 47 rare gears compare to 47 magic gears.

2. 60 perfect weapons, armors and ACCs set

Since 60 perfect equipemnts are often dropped in the tower, it is easy to get. Also, many players already have this set.

3. 47 wepaons and accs set with 35 Hell armor set

similar reason to soultion #1. 35 hell armor set is easier to get but still has same stats

47 rare are hard to get and costly. I couldn't even get a 47 rare weapon on my sin. I use a 43 rare instead. The amount of gold it took me to gear up Tyri's warrior with 47 rare was around 8m+ just for some weapons and accessories. I had to borrow gold just to gear up for that tournament. Which ended up being for nothing because KMR gave the date the last second. Me and Tyri wasn't able to participate because of this last minute decision. Point is though, lv 60 perf. gear is a lot cheaper than 47 rare.

hell 35 gear is easy to get, a lot easier than magic gear. rare Accessories are harder to get than magic.. idk if ppl can even get rare accessories before the tournament.

How tournaments should be ran is, all tournaments should be done with perfect 60 gear, no higher. (It's cheap, easy to get, and everyone 60+ already has it.)
Things that should be banned are soul Sabrina set, attack spell stones, and auspice. This way there will be no problem with ppl who are level 60+, and it's even for the most part. For the people that aren't level 60+ that joined this tourney, it's their fault for not leveling. There's 0 way to balance a high level vs a low level fight anyways, so why bother trying?

It is essential to have full gear vs classes with strong summons (ele, nightstalker), scout, and wardens wall. These classes require there opponents to kill/break things, which is hard enough to kill with full unique/master gear on already, let alone LV 47 magic/rare gear.

Not to mention, the lower gear people use, the more tanky and longer/ annoying the fight becomes. Lv 60+ characters are meant for lv 60 gear. If ppl use lv 47 rare and/or magic. The fights will be twice as long than regular matches. Some fights like vs guardian and elementalist already take up the full 3 minutes to just kill them with just 60 gear.

I would also ban Sarad R20 survival legend, not everyone (mostly nobody) has access to it and the advantage in PvP over other legends is huge.

Maybe they should make specific gears for PVP. Something like gears with +MaxMP stat aside from accessories to help increase MP if the problem is with MP.

Some sort of gear balance option should exist in PvP , a system just like in Dragon Nest (Not praising DN here, C9 is way better). That's a suggestion , but people that farm a lot to get full PvP gear won't like this idea. Ranked pvp shouldn't have this option though. If there was a gear balance option to mark on PvP we would not have this problem xD

No thanks. ill pass on this tournament... if gear requirement isn't changed; I would not bother using 1 mil to obtain the prerequisite equipment for the tournament.
